Can you unlock the harmony in your home with a simple map? Is there a way to put a map over your home with a grid system that just tells you where your fabulous career is, where your money is, where all the fabulous stuff is? Well, that's a great question and it's got a rather big answer. So today we're going to talk about the Bargrain map and what it means to your home. So stay tuned, because you know me, I got a lot to say. I just want to give people a place to go to get information. I want them to enjoy learning about Qi and how it's easy to learn about it and affect change in your own life. So Qi Pro is here for the curious seekers and for the professionals looking to get ahead. It's the bottom line. I want to empower people with information, because the one thing that can't be taken from you is your knowledge. Alrighty, so I am Chi Pro Sam, the Feng Shui master, in your home today, and I'm going to do some little demystifying stuff about something called the Bar Gua Map, because it has a fabulous reputation and a not so fabulous reputation because it's actually quite complex. So I'm going to dive right in and get going. So you have all the facts you need so you can make your home amazing, even if you don't have your very own a sam by your side, although you can get me quite easily, you know how to find me.
QiPro Sam:Okay, back to the serious stuff. So first of all, I'm going to have to remind you that feng shui is the art and science of understanding how the environment affects you. Okay, it's actually very simple. There's so much complexity out there and you know there's a theory and a thought and a fear that it's very difficult or that your house will turn into a chinese emporium. No, it's not that at all. It's just the art and science of understanding how your environment will affect you.
QiPro Sam:Okay, now, when we look to harmonizing your home, we do use various tools to ascertain the energy map, which is kind of like the DNA code of your home. Okay, it's very important. Now, the low pan compass is the primary tool that we use to reveal the age of the home, which means the period of the construction and the degree of the facing and sitting. Well, technically, the low pan compass gives us the degree and information that you give me, gives me a way to work out the period of the home, the age of it, and together I put that together to create this DNA code. Now, once we have that information, the next important tool is the bar gua map, and that's our discussion today. So a lot of people will use the bar gua map, and this is where the reputation thing has come in, or the confusion I should say. So I'm going to break it down into two things, basically east and west.
QiPro Sam:Now, the flying star, feng shui, is the method I use as a master of feng shui. It's something called shuang kong fei shing, and that just means it incorporates time and space, which makes it very fluid, which makes it dynamic and also makes it malleable to the what's occurring right now and what can occur in the future. It also aligns to the people living in the home. So you living in your home, I'm going to look at your home, I'm going to create the DNA code of the home, and then I'm going to look at your baza, which is your Chinese astrology chart, and your mingwa, which is another aspect, and I'm going to layer that in with the home and it's going to tell me everything that's going to occur for you. And that's shuang kong fei shing is one of the most popular and trusted feng shui applications used by true masters around the world.
QiPro Sam:There are other methods. There are water methods, there are more complex methods, and they're fabulous too, do not get me wrong. But the one that's the best to align to first is the shuang kong fei shing, which is the flying star feng shui. All right, so flying star is, it's dynamic, and the reason I love it so much is because it really paints a picture and tells a story, and it shows things, how they will evolve over time and how the people can use the space like I'm going to help you understand what to do in your home and how to incorporate your career aspirations and your family aspirations in there. Now the other side, so that's the eastern side. Okay, we could call it the Asian influence, the original, where it came from.
QiPro Sam:But, as is with everything in life, there's a desire to simplify, and that simplification came in when the western world started adopting the idea of feng shui. What is it? How does it make my life better? But it changed so because classic shuang kong fei sing, the flying star method is highly detailed. It's very complex. It does take time to learn. It is not something you can just pick up a book and figure out over the weekend. You do need to know what you're doing. So because of that, a simpler version emerged as the western world became interested in feng shui.
QiPro Sam:Now, this system uses the basic analysis of this bar gua map and it's very static, okay. It uses a map in a very grid like way and just says that something is always something. And I the reason I don't follow this method and I don't really condone it, but we're gonna talk about it today is because it's like saying every woman should wear a black dress and she'll look slim. Well, that's not true. If it's a black dress 10 sizes too big, she's not gonna look slim, she's gonna look sickly or be swallowed up by this big dress. Also, black may not be her color. It may not bring out the best in her features, so she's not going to look good. And that's how I liken this as well.
QiPro Sam:Feng shui needs to be used specifically to examine everything about the home and the people in it, whereas the Western feng shui doesn't do that. It puts a grid, like a map that's pre-designed over the home, and we're going to talk about it. It map that's pre-designed over the home and we're going to talk about it. It's pre-designed over the home and it says do this, do that and you will achieve, achieve this and achieve that. Well, it's not that simple, but, as I said, it's a way that people looked at feng shui and said we can simplify this and have 10 easy steps to steps to feng shui your home. It just doesn't work that way.
QiPro Sam:One of my biggest challenges with western feng shui is it doesn't necessarily use specifics of the home, so it will talk about it, doesn't really look at the direction the home is facing, to the degree, and it doesn't always look at the time the home was built. Now, that is important because, just like you and I, we're different ages, so in our life we're experiencing different things. Because we're at different ages. In our life, we're at different stages, and the home is actually the same. Just like you and I, we're born the way we're born, but over time, we adapt, we change, we evolve, we emerge, we grow, we experience hardship, we experience great happiness. It's kind of the same with a home. It does have a map that was created when it was built, kind of like when it was born, but it's going to change over time.
QiPro Sam:Now what I will say, though, is, while this you know, western feng shui approach is very simplistic, in my opinion, very generic in its approach. I'm going to be honest here and say that some people have found that it helps. They found that it did hit some high notes, it did work for them. So I thought, well, it's good for me to explain what it is because you can try that. Right, if you want to try this, you go right ahead, but you're going to hear me point out some you know, be careful bits as we go through. So if you're looking to start your feng shui journey, this is a good podcast to listen to, because I am going to talk about the areas in the bargoir map and how to apply them.
QiPro Sam:So first of all, let's back up now. We've talked about east and west a little bit here. What is the bargoir map? Well, it's a symbolic representation of nine areas of space that correspond to nine different aspects of life, such as health, relationships, career, all sorts of things. Okay, the bargoua map is typically an octagonal grid, with each section of the grid representing a different aspect of life and its corresponding elements, colours and directional energies. It's used to analyse and balance the energy flow within a space to determine areas that may need attention or enhancement in order to improve the well-being and overall harmony of everyone living and working in that space. So this is where it does differ a little bit, because in Flying Star Feng Shui we've got a very dynamic interpretation of the Bagua map and in Western Feng Shui it's very static. It's the north is the north, the west is the west, regardless of the environment, regardless of so many other aspects, but it's still useful, so let's keep going. So we have something called the bargoir sections. Okay, so if we're applying the bargoir map to your home without a full flying star feng shui analysis which I do recommend, but you go ahead and try this first if you like it's thought that you can follow these directions to balance the harmony of your home. So you've got to think of it like this.
QiPro Sam:Western feng shui is saying. This bar gua map can just be literally like a sticker that's applied to your home, and I'm going to always remind you that nothing is quite so black and white. However, there are components of this which are useful. So let's have a look. We're going to go through the compass directions, the eight compass directions and the one in the center, hence nine sections. Now the southeast, technically in Western Feng Shui represents wealth and prosperity. Technically, in Western Feng Shui represents wealth and prosperity. So this wealth area is associated with the element of wood, this particular one, the color green, and is related to financial abundance and prosperity. In Western Feng Shui it's considered wise to incorporate items that help you visualize abundance and healthy plants and use this space for gratitude practices. This southeast section is also related to the Mingua 4. Now you can look at the calculators on my site to find out if you are a Mingua 4 and what that means. So do hop on over there and I'm going to highlight each Mingua in each section for you.
QiPro Sam:So here's my first little SAM pro tip here. This bar ground map is saying that in the southeast, that's where your money and your prosperity is. So you must put, you know, the colors green in there, because that's how you'll get money. Well, I gotta ask you really, is it? Why is the money in the southeast of your home? Seriously, it's a question, you tell me. Why is that? Well, it's because in the southeast of your home. Seriously, it's a question, you tell me. Why is that? Well, it's because in the Bhagwan map that is the first representation of wealth. But again, in the true Asian, chinese Eastern feng shui that I practice, we use the Bhagwan map as a starting point and we do look at the southeast with these things in mind. But we then bring that map to life and the wealth area may actually be somewhere else. But if you want to try this bargo map, you are going to identify the southeast area of your home as the wealth and prosperity area.
QiPro Sam:Okay, we're going to move on. So I'm just going to kind of go clockwise here. We're going to move on. So I'm just going to kind of go clockwise here. We're going to go to the south. So in Western Feng Shui, the south in the Bagua map is connected represents fame and reputation. Okay, it's associated with the element of fire. The color red can be bright, orange too and sometimes even some purple like. It's a very fiery color and it's related to your reputation, recognition and social status. It's considered wise to have items here like lights, candles and triangular shapes to support the fire energy. The south is also associated with Ming Hua Nai. Now, every Ming Hua that I'm going to relate to, they are correct In Western or Eastern Feng Shui. Mingua that I'm going to relate to, they are correct. In western or eastern feng shui, this connection with the mingua is absolutely the same. The big difference is remember, western is static, flying star. Feng shui is dynamic and we put it into multiple layers. So that's what the south is about now.
QiPro Sam:The southwest this technically in western feng shui would represent love and marriage, so it's the relationship area and it's associated with the element of earth. The color is brown, golden, yellow and focuses on your relationships with romantic partners, business partners and important connections, so it can be family as well. It's basically relationships, okay, connections with those people. This is where you'll see references to like having two mandarin ducks, or couples or duplicates of things, because it's the idea is it encourages the coupling between two people, which is not to be confused with sex. This is the joining of two people, the coupling of them. Okay, square shapes and earthy tones or yellow are considered beneficial in the southwest. According to western feng shui, the southwest is also associated with ming gua too, so let's look at that for a second here.
QiPro Sam:It's saying if you reply this grid to your home, if you do a little tic-tac-toe chart over your home and you identify where the southwest is, that's your love and marriage area. What if that's where you keep the recycling in the garbage cans, does that mean your relationships in the garbage? Now you know I'm being cheeky here. Of course it doesn't mean that. But this is my problem with western feng shui, because it is static. It doesn't know what's there. What if this is a particularly bad part of your home? It's got a particularly ugly power pole right outside. Well, that actually is going to be negative in both sets of feng shui. But my point here is yes, listen to this. Yes, give it a shot if you really want to, but you will see after a while that it cannot be so static. Feng shui is a dynamically mobile energy. All right so. But that is the southwest. Let's keep going here. So, going around clockwise, we're going to get to the west.
QiPro Sam:Now in western feng shui, not in the eastern shuang kong, fei shing that I practice the west represents children and creativity, so this area is associated with the element of metal and represents self-expression, artistic pursuits and creative energy. Colors considered beneficial here are all the metallics, and white with the rounded shape to provide support for the metal element, which will increase your thinking ability in the Western approach. Now the West is associated with Mingua 7. The metal element, which will increase your thinking ability. In the western approach. Now the west is associated with mingwa seven. So remember, if you don't know what your mingwa is, go to chi pro sam and look at the batza calculator actually, the mingwa calculator is right there. I made it clear for you and work out what your mingwa is. It's quite interesting too. Okay, so that's the west.
QiPro Sam:Now the northwest. This is a representation in western feng shui of travel and helpful people. So this helpful people area is associated with the element of metal as well. So sometimes there are two more than one element in the bargois and the metallic colors and white again. So, just like the west, a little bit round shapes again, and this one encompasses support from friends, mentors and community. So many people will will place actual globes here and wall maps or any other items that remind them of travel and international connections. So I have to admit, when I look at the bargoir as seen through the Western feng shui eye, there are parts I think, well, that could be fun. I could put a globe in the Northwest. It's not going to hurt anything, right? So that's okay. So, like I said, you can pull information from what I'm sharing today and you may find it very useful, and I'm super happy to do that for you. That's why I'm doing this today. The Northwest is associated with Mingua 6. Okay, so again, why don't you go see if you're a Mingua 6? Quite an interesting Mingua to have.
QiPro Sam:Now, if we keep going, the next one is going to be the North. So in Western Feng Shui, the North represents career and your life path, path. So this area is associated with the element of water, the color black, often navy blue, too wavy shapes, and is related to your work, life and professional development. So here's one that you may have heard. So, technically, if you have a little floor plan of your home and you put this bargoir map over your home, it's going to say that the north is always related to your career. So that's where your front door should be. Well, what if? There's no way on earth you can put your front door in the north, because it's actually at the back of your home, because, right, your home could be facing south, your home could be facing east. So what does that mean? Does your career not going to happen? You know, because this is where the the fact that it's not dynamic is a problem, the fact that it doesn't relate to the environment is a problem.
QiPro Sam:But technically, if you're following Western Feng Shui, the North is going to be your career palace, your career sector. So in following that theme, they would recommend that you have beneficial colors of black and dark navy. Sometimes people will say, actually, a very, very dark green can fit in here as well. I'm on the fence with that one. And some like to have a water feature in the north. Now here's where I've got to put my hand up and just say hold on, hold on there. Missy and Mr whoever's listening to this right now, I really do not, do not want to see you put a water feature in without a professional advising you.
QiPro Sam:Water features activate energy. Now, technically, the theory is in the Western Feng Shui that because the North sector represents your career and your life path, if you put water there you will activate your career and activate your life path. If you put water there, you will activate your career and activate your life path. I understand the concept, I understand what they're saying, but I'm going to shoot it down right here, right now. If we do the actual, real three-dimensional feng shui chart of your home and there's a negative star there and there's a couple. There's a couple in the feng shui map. Once we lay the bargo down and bring it to life in real Eastern classic feng shui, if there's a problem with the energy there and you put a water feature, you have just activated it and you will feel it.
QiPro Sam:It can come with a hard hit. So I always say, if you want to try some color, if you want to try some mandarin ducks, if you want to try a picture of a dragon for career or something in any of the areas we're talking about, go for it. But please do not put a water feature in unless a professional has advised you to do so. It can be problematic. So there you go. I've given you my little warning. I've just put it out there because I do hear these things. Oh, you want to activate relationships, put two ducks there and put some water there. No, it could be problematic. You may not know what you're activating, so please don't do it.
QiPro Sam:Now, the north is associated with Mingua 1. So again, check out the calculator and you know. When you're there at the calculator you'll see that you can actually download a booklet all about your mingwa, and if in fact you can go and download all of them. There's eight mingwas, and I'll explain why. There's not nine in a minute, but there's eight mingwas, and if you want, go get them. So you've got them for all your family. They're um, they're actually brilliant. They're so handy to have. Okay, so if we keep going, we're now around to the northeast.
QiPro Sam:So in western feng shui, the northeast connects with knowledge and self-cultivation, so the knowledge area is associated with it, with the element of earth, so it's brown colors, square shapes and encompasses education, self-improvement and personal growth. This is considered an inspirational area and it's thought that if you put books and items there that are thought-provoking and they're beneficial to you and for you, for your self-cultivation, well, I'm not going to argue with that, right, that's actually very logical. If you want to improve your knowledge base and cultivate yourself, your sense of self and who you are, well, you're going to read some books, right? Maybe listen to some podcasts, whichever you tickles your fancy. So I'm never going to shoot that one down because I'm like well, that's good, right, I'm always a massive believer in making sure you know the most you can know. Your knowledge is the one thing that can't be taken away from you. Always, always, empower yourself with the most knowledge.
QiPro Sam:But in western feng shui they're saying, in the northeast, this is where you put the books and everything. And I'm like, is it really? What if that's your toilet? Well, maybe that will work for some people. But what if that's the broom closet right? And you're thinking, oh shoot, I can never cultivate my knowledge because my in the northeast of my home, that's where my broom closet is right. You'll be like, oh shoot, can't do this. So this is why I find it a little bit like doesn't really work like that.
QiPro Sam:Now for the mingguar, the northeast is associated with the mingguar eight. Now if we keep going, we're going to back up to the east now and that area is associated with family and ancestors in the western feng shui. So this area is associated with the element of wood again green colors, cylinder shapes and represents your relationships with family and ancestors. So if you remember, I started in the southeast and I said there were that was, relationships a bit too and connections. This one's a little different. This really is family and historical family. So the ancestors, a strong wood influence, is considered beneficial, which can be real plants or tall columnar items.
QiPro Sam:Now what I will say is I'm someone that doesn't like to have a lot of plants in my home. So anytime I'm working on a home I don't really bring in a mass of plants. I prefer natural plants outside in the natural environment. But a lot of people do like plants. So my one thing here I'm going to ask you to do is I'm gonna I'm gonna say please don't use cacti. They are, they are not beneficial. They can cause problems with the heart and with the eyes. And the other thing is that when you do put plants in, they need to be healthy. So no more taking care of a plant that some neighbor gave you or someone at work gave you because it was, you know, was sick and they thought you could bring it back to life, but the thing still looks sickly. I'm sorry. It's time to send it off. Go to send it to a farm to live in the future. Have healthy plants with nice, full, lush leaves, lush leaves, and when you look at it it's healthy, then it's a good plant. But I'm going to throw something at you right here too.
QiPro Sam:Again, if we've done a full analysis of your home using classic feng shui, which brings the bagua to life right, puts it into three dimension, this could be an area where we don't want plants because plants can attack certain types of earth energy. It's a bit of a fractious relationship so there's a rare if. If there's a very good earth energy coming into your home from the east direction, too many plants will attack that and that's where health can be hindered. So you, I think I'm hoping you're kind of picking up what I'm putting down here is that the bargo map is true. The basics of what I've been sharing with you today isn't wrong. I'm trying to impart that. It's only a piece of the puzzle and in classic feng shui it's where we start, but we move from that in a more complex way. We actually get technically it's like we layer multiple bargoir maps on top of each other because we move, we fly the stars, we fly the bargoir numbers. Now in the east the mingwa is mingwa three, so that's a very strong mingwa. So if you're a mingwa three, go get your handout, go download the pdf from my, from cheaprosamcom, because you're going to really enjoy what I say about that.
QiPro Sam:Now. I did say that there were nine areas of the bargois map and that's because we also look at the center. So remember this bargois map when it's applied in classic feng shui. We put it over your house like eight pieces of pie. We actually have like a, put it on the chart over the home, find the center. And we, like, we cut your house like eight pieces of pie. We actually have like a put it on the chart over the home, find the center. And we, like we cut your home into eight pieces of pie, like an apple pie.
QiPro Sam:In the western feng shui, with the static grid that tell talks of health corners and career corners and all those things, it has a section in the middle called the center. Now, yes, classic feng shui has a center too, but we don't look at it. The yes, classic feng shui has a center too, but we don't look at it. The same In Western feng shui. Here they say the center is to do with health. So this area is considered to be connected to your physical and emotional well-being and relates to the earth element. I will agree that it relates to the earth element. I'm not going to necessarily agree with the physical and emotional well-being. There are times when it can. It's thought that a clear, open center helps keep all the other areas connected and in balance. That one. I wrote that because technically I'm going to agree with that.
QiPro Sam:If I'm designing a home with feng shui as one of the principal factors in the layout of the home, yes, I am going to want a clear center. I'm not going to want stairs in the layout of the home. Yes, I am going to want a clear center. I'm not going to want stairs in the center of the home. I'm not going to allow a bathroom in the center of the home. I'm going to want the center to be open to certain areas of the home. What I'm going to do is find the really good energy and I'm going to make sure it all connects. And the negative energy, because there I'm going to make sure it all connects. And the negative energy, because there's always going to be. Some can't have everything all good. It's always going to be a mix of things. I'm going to make sure the good energy can get to it.
QiPro Sam:It's kind of like saying you have a group of kids and one of them's being a little errant monkey and running all over the place. You want the person in charge to be able to speak to that child and connect with that child to say hold on, let's just. Let's just put things back in together. Let's stop picking on, tommy, let's stop painting the curtains. You want a positive influence to that child who's kind of running amok. Well, in feng shui it's the same. We don't block off the negative qi. We make sure the good chi can get to it to kind of turn it around. Sometimes we will I wouldn't say block we will create a specific area to downplay a negative energy and we will bring things in that tame it and that tone it down, and that's a specific application.
QiPro Sam:Now, the center of the home in western feng shui, or in the Bagua map, I should say, is associated with Mingua 5. Here's where it gets interesting. You can't actually be a Mingua 5. Okay, so you're gonna go to the calculator on ChiProSam and enter your birthdate. Just follow the instructions, because the Mingua 5 transforms to a 2 or an 8. And I'm not going to tell you which one it is because there is a difference until you go do that on my site. But you cannot technically be a Mingua 5. Now what I will say is, if you are one of the transformed Guas from this, when we look at you I will say to someone ah, this person's a true Mingua 8, or I might say this person's a Mingua 8 from a 5. This person's a Mingua 2 from a 5, because that 5 has a very strong, powerful influence and, trust me, I know when I'm dealing with a Mingua 5, they can be very determined, all right.
QiPro Sam:So I want to have a little talk about how to use the Bagua map on your home. Now, what I'm going to want you to do and you don't have to come to me, but I would ask you to consider having someone help you with the feng shui of your home I recommend you connect with a professional. If you don't want to come to me, that's fine. There's a lot of really good professionals. And if you're not sure, reach out to me and I'll see if I can connect you with someone who's near you. But, like many other consultants out there masters of feng shui I work around the world. We can all work remotely.
QiPro Sam:But if you want to do this yourself, if you want to use the Western Bargwa map on your home, this is what you're going to do. So the first thing you're going to do is you're going to draw a floor plan of your home. Well, you might have one if you do, great. So start by drawing a floor plan of your home, including all the rooms, the hallways and the entrances. Make sure to include any irregular or missing areas, such as an L-shaped room or an L-shaped house. So in Western Feng Shui well, actually I'm going to say in both we don't like to have irregular shaped homes. We prefer a home to be very stable, but sometimes we might use an L-shape in a certain way to kind of enhance some good energy and downplay some negative energy. So, bottom line here, though draw your floor plan. You want to do this like a bird's eye view. We're just looking where are the rooms, where are the windows, where are the doors, and simple. You don't need some really super detailed thing, but it does kind of need to be to scale. Okay, then you're going to align the bargo map over your home. So you're going to superimpose the bargo map on your floor plan, aligning it with the front door.
QiPro Sam:Now, this is Western Feng Shui again. So what I'm going to say is you're going to make the floor plan of your map and identify your front door. Okay, that's what we're going to do. Identify where your front door is, go to your front door, use your compass on your iPhone. You don't have to have a low-pan compass or a little hand, compass whatever you want, or just look at where the sun rises and sun sets and work out what's at your front door. Are you facing north, are you facing northeast, are you facing west? Okay, and then, once you do that, you then put your grid of the map over your home and you mark down where is north, where is northeast, where is east, where is southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest and north. Okay, just a little square, tic-tac-toe grid like a square over your home and mark the sectors northeast, southwest. That's easy. You can do this. I know you can do. This. Sounds a little confusing. Just listen to this again, you'll have no problem.
QiPro Sam:So you're going to divide your home into those nine equal sections, right? And you're going to mark the corresponding areas. So label each area carefully with the direction and then with the bargo map, listen to the podcast again and you're going to write down where is your life area, where is your career area, where is your relationship area. So again, I'm going to say no, don't do that. But if you want to try western feng shui, this is what you're going to do. And then you're going to look at each area. Okay, you, and you're just going to sit back, you look at the map and then you're going to walk around your home. So take a walk through your home holding this little map that you've drawn and assess each area according to the corresponding information of everything I've shared about what's in the north, what's in the southeast, what colors to use and look for things.
QiPro Sam:The one thing I will absolutely agree on here and say that's always, always, always good is to walk through your home with kind of a different lens on and look for clutter, look for obstacles, look for imbalances and just look for what doesn't feel right. As you walk through your home, thinking about this bar ground map and this is why Western Feng Shui can sometimes hit some good markers have that map in your hands, walk around and think okay, what is cluttered here? If this area does represent my career, is it messy, or does it sort of say, oh, powerful person or person climbing the corporate ladder or person doing a really good job at what they do? So this is where it can help you. So always declutter, remove obstacles, make sure the area is light and bright and think about the areas, make adjustments, ok. So if you notice any imbalances or clutter in a particular area, make adjustments to create a more harmonious flow of energy. It's not rocket science, right? Remember? Feng shui is the art and science of understanding how the environment will affect you. So look at your environment and ask yourself how do I feel, how does this affect me? So we know this is going to be decluttering Biggest thing you can always do, no matter what feng shui method you follow.
QiPro Sam:Decluttering is pretty much number one. You can add some elements such as plants or shapes or colors. Again, I'm going to say be very careful with water. Okay, be very careful. Western feng shui is going to say add water to certain things. I am going to sit here 100 behind my words of be careful what you do with real active water. It can be dangerous. So you're going to have a look at your bargo map and you're going to balance the elements of that area, possibly rearrange some furniture to optimize the flow of the energy.
QiPro Sam:Now you can also enhance certain areas. So you can enhance certain areas of your home to attract more positive energy in the aspect of your life. So for me, when I'm doing that, when I've actually created the real multi-layered, multi-faceted feng shui chart of your home, I know where the money's coming in, I know where the money's blocked. I know where the relationship issues could could be coming from. I know how to make them stronger and I will give you specific recommendations to clear that energy, enhance the energy, support the energy.
QiPro Sam:But the western feng shui looks at the bagua and just uses it for each area. So you have to take this with a pinch of salt because I cannot fully, fully give this one to you because I don't agree. But I know you're curious about the bar gua map, so you would look at the wealth area in your home, right? Do you remember where that is? If you didn't make notes on the podcast, I'm not going to give it to you. You have to learn this. Go back, rewind the podcast. I'm not going to give it to you, you have to learn this. Go back, rewind the podcast and listen again and you could add a money plant or you could sit in that area and make your phone calls for to activate money opportunities and western feng shui will say add a water feature. I'm gonna say be careful and don't do that. But this is. We're talking about the whole bagua map.
QiPro Sam:Now there's also a time when you can activate the bargo. That's when they talk about placing objects or symbols that represent specific aspects of your life in the corresponding area. Now I've actually touched on this because it's a question that comes up a lot. I have actually laid out items you can put in your home for 2024, because that's the date, this is the year. I'm recording this for you right now and again, that's a free download off my site. So go to cheaprosamcom there's a free tab. Grab the 2024 Life Alignment Guide. In that guide I talk about how to look at the feng shui of your home and I've given a visual of items you can place to activate the energy there. So that's actually very useful and if Western feng shui is your thing, if this is your, you just really love this, you can do it by yourself. You don't need a Sam, you don't need someone else giving you the multi-layers. Go get that guide, because it does have information you're gonna need and it talks about things I've talked about here as well. So it's going to be very useful.
QiPro Sam:Now, as we close this up, what I will say? It's essential to maintain balance in all areas of your home to promote harmony and positive energy flow. Regularly assess each area and make necessarily adjust necessary adjustments to keep the bargoir in balance. Now, technically that's referring referring to the western bargoir, right, but I'm also going to say we all, you know we can forget. Life gets busy and all of a sudden the hallway entrance is cluttered with the recycling that didn't get taken out, some stuff that's got to be returned to a store, extra coats and jackets that keep getting dropped there, and all of a sudden it's really mucky and it's really messy. Now western feng shui is going to say oh, if your front door is in the north, that means your career is going to get messy and you're blocking career paths.
QiPro Sam:I'm going to say, when I look at your home, if the north is your career area, yeah, actually some of that's true, but maybe the north, when I assess it using shuangkong feixing, it could be your relationship and you'll be, and this is why you're arguing with your significant other. This is why the kids are just grouchy all the time. It could be health, you could be sick. So again, we've got differences in the interpretation. But the one thing East and West will agree on is keep your house clean, clear, free-flowing, declutter. It's always going to be a win, win, win, win, win Now, anytime you make major changes to your home.
QiPro Sam:So you've done a major renovation. Maybe there's a new family member in the home, maybe some things have changed in your relationship. It's good to redo this and have a look at the areas. So I guess I'm going to say, if you've listened all the way through here and you're still thinking, hmm, well, which feng shui bagua is best for my home, sam, well I'm always going to say hands down, classic shuang kong, fei shing, flying star feng shui is the trusted feng shui method as it incorporates the dynamics of time and space and people. If, however, you choose to apply the bagua map by definition, which is the western feng sh, it can work. You might hit some things, but you potentially miss opportunities and may even misalign the energy through no fault of your own. So don't you know? Always remember that. You just be careful there.
QiPro Sam:Ultimately, it's your choice how you use the Bar Gua Map and the only way to know really is to try. So if you're kind of thinking, well, I'm interested in feng shui and maybe I can do this Absolutely, give this a go. You know, do the floor plan. Put the bar ground map. You know, divide it into nine sections. Put the bar ground map over. We work out which is north east, all of the rest of it. We work out which is north east, all of the rest of it. Give it a shot.
QiPro Sam:If you follow the method of you know creating harm, you know creating free flow, as in which is decluttering, removing excess objects. If you want to put a dragon here and there or some bamboo, it and it gives you a positive thought, it gives you a way to manifest and to think about it. I am not against that at all. I just want you to be realistic and know that putting a bagua map over your home and putting bamboo in a certain area because it's the wood element and that's supposed to be good it can't really do anything by itself, but if it helps you visualize, if it helps you visualize, if it helps you manifest, and by doing that you also went to that area, cleaned it up, because you wanted to find a nice spot for your little bit of bamboo or your dragon, or your kirin or your any other object that your mandarin ducks, I'm gonna say yay, because you went there and you cleaned up the area and then you put an object that brings you joy. Well, how can that be wrong? Right, it can't.
QiPro Sam:So have fun with the bar gua map, don't be scared of it, but understand it is an important tool in feng shui. As a feng shui master, I do look at the bar gua map, but I bring it to life in a different way from Western feng shui. All right, so I think that's kind of a lot for you today. And, yeah, you're going to have to go back and make notes, right, and I could review everything, but I'm not gonna, because I want you to learn this. So, if you're interested, review this podcast again and then go to cheaprosamcom, get your Mingua document it's full of fabulous information there and get the 2024 guide, because it does talk about the items in the bargois areas. All right, okay, well, I think my job here is done. So, toodle pips, guys, toodle pips, thank you.
